Terms of Use
Summary
Service:
Canit is a service that allows you to transfer your deposit beverage containers to another user for return or to find other users willing to hand over containers for you to return. By registering and using the service in accordance with these terms, you are granted the right to use the Canit service. Canit itself is a free app, but note that if you collect containers from other users for return, you will usually need to pay for them.
Nature:
Canit is a brokerage platform. It connects users who have deposit containers with users who want to earn money by returning them. Canit is not a party to the actual container return transaction. Through Canit, you acquire containers from other users — not from Canit — and transfer them to other users — not to Canit.
Privacy:
Information stored by the service is located within the EU, EEA, or Switzerland. The service provider does not, by default, transfer data outside these regions. Reinto does not disclose identifiable user information outside the service without your permission. If you enter information into the service, Reinto may use it to improve the service without compensation. Reinto may also technically monitor how and in what ways you use the service. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more information.
Changes:
If we change our terms of use, we will inform you. If you do not accept the new terms or otherwise wish to stop using the service and/or terminate it, you can email us at: info@reinto.fi

1. Introduction
Welcome to the Canit service!
Canit is an online service that allows users to post their deposit containers for others to collect, or to register interest in collecting containers under mutually agreed conditions. The Canit service and its provider, Reinto Oy ("Reinto" or "we"), are not parties to the service relationship. Rather, Reinto and the Canit service only function as an intermediary for container return services.
Use of the Canit service itself is free, but Reinto charges a brokerage fee for the transfer of containers between users. The brokerage fee is 25% of the actual or estimated value of the items we broker.
We are committed to protecting your personal data and privacy. Please read our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms. (Together, these Terms and the Privacy Policy are referred to as the "Agreements").
2. Right of Use and User Account
To use the Canit service, you must create a user account (information required for account creation is detailed in our Privacy Policy). By creating an account, Reinto grants you a right to use the Canit service that is:
-
limited (i.e., you may only do what we permit within the service),
-
non-exclusive (i.e., we have other customers), and
-
revocable (i.e., we can terminate your right to use the service).
This right of use remains in effect until:
-
You or we close your account
-
You or we terminate these agreements
The license is tied to your user account, meaning we license the right to use, not sell it. All rights to copies and content of the Canit service remain with Reinto and our licensors, even if installed on your phone, tablet, or other device.
Reinto is not obligated to grant you an account or usage rights and may close your account at any time for any reason. If your account holds funds, they will be promptly transferred to you.
Using Canit does not require a user account. You can use the service as an "anonymous user" with limited functionality. If you make a sale as an anonymous user, the proceeds are "tagged" to the device used. If you create an account within one month on the same device, the tagged amount is transferred to your new account. If no account is created within that time, the amount is transferred to Reinto without further notice.
Note: You must be at least 16 years old to use the service. If you are younger, you must have parental consent. In this case, both you and your parent are responsible for usage.
3. Free and Paid Services
As mentioned, the Canit service is generally free. However, Reinto charges a 25% brokerage fee on container return transactions.
Some additional services may be available for purchase. These paid services will be clearly marked.
4. Rules of Use
To ensure a functional, safe, and reliable service for all, the following are prohibited:
-
breaking the law
-
spreading viruses, worms, malware, etc.
-
bypassing or breaching service security
-
harassing, bullying, or spamming other users
-
commercial or sales activities unrelated to Canit
-
advertising, promotions, contests, or lotteries without our approval
-
interfering with or testing the service or its components
You must obtain our permission to:
-
conduct commercial activities unrelated to Canit
-
engage in advertising or sales promotions
-
organize contests or lotteries
If your password is lost or you suspect unauthorized access to your account, you must notify us.
If you violate these rules, we may terminate your service, suspend your account, or revoke access rights.
5. Copyright and Infringement
You retain all rights to content you upload ("user content"). However, we need a license to use this content in the Canit service. You grant us a license that is:
-
non-exclusive
-
transferable (e.g., in a company sale)
-
sublicensable (e.g., to subcontractors)
-
royalty-free
-
perpetual (unless you delete your account)
This license allows us to use, copy, make available, publish, translate, modify, and distribute your user content in any format or method, either alone or combined with other materials, while respecting your privacy.
If you believe content violates your rights, contact us at info@canit.fi. We may act without prior notice. The uploader can submit a counter-notice requesting content restoration if they believe there’s no infringement.
6. Service Limitations and Changes
We aim to keep the service running but it may be interrupted.
We may modify or discontinue features at any time. We are not liable for such changes unless you paid for specific services, in which case we will deliver them until the subscription ends.
We are not obligated to maintain, support, improve, or update the service. Our liability is limited to the balance in your Canit account.
These terms may change. We will notify you via the app or email. Continuing to use the service after changes implies acceptance.
To opt out of new terms, stop using the service and delete your account or contact support (info@canit.fi).
7. Third-Party Services
Some features may require using third-party services and agreeing to their terms.
Payments are processed via third-party payment providers.
Third parties have their own terms and privacy policies. Review them carefully.
8. Duration and Termination
You may terminate the service or delete your account at any time. Agreements remain in effect until both parties fulfill their obligations.
Upon termination, we delete your personal data. If anonymized or aggregated, we may continue to use such data.
We may terminate the agreement, your access rights, or account at any time, especially for unauthorized or abusive use.
Upon termination:
We are not liable for refunds or further obligations.
If you deleted your account, any balance is returned to your provided bank account.
If terminated by us, we will also return your balance, if you’ve provided valid banking info.
If no valid banking details are available, we are not obliged to return the funds.
If you are inactive for a year, we will notify you by email. If no login occurs within a month, your account is deleted and any funds are forfeited to Reinto Oy.
9. Applicable Law and Disputes
These agreements are governed by Finnish law. Disputes will be resolved in the District Court of Helsinki.
Reinto is not a party to user-to-user interactions and does not intervene in such disputes.
